Jun 22, 2018 | 2:01 PM

RCMP in Buffalow Narrows made a sizable drug bust while investigating an altercation June 17.

According to RCMP, police were following up on an investigation involving two wanted individuals and were preparing to visit a nearby residence when they received a call reporting an altercation at the very same residence. Officers quickly responded, RCMP said, and arrested one man at the home while seizing drugs and cash in the process.

RCMP sized 31 grams of crack cocaine from the home along with four grams of powder cocaine and more than $5,000 in cash. Roland Francis Hanson, a 42-year-old man from Buffalo Narrows, was arrested without incident, RCMP said, and is now facing charges including assault causing bodily harm, trafficking a controlled substance, and possession of stolen property.

Hanson will next appear in court July 11, RCMP said. The charges against him have not been tested before the courts.
