Southend family seeks answers after 2017 murder
Family members of a man murdered in Southend 17 months ago continue to be frustrated that no one in the small northern community is prepared to talk to investigators. They are also frustrated by what they see as a lack of effort by the RCMP.
Pierre Dominic Morin, 33, was found deceased Sept. 1, 2017. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Morin was the nephew of Shirly Morin Cook who said it was desperately frustrating to know family members of the suspects are remaining silent when someone must know something.
“Maybe these suspects in Southend that are keeping their silence. Maybe somebody eventually will come forward if they can be given a scare [through the media],” she told paNOW. “This is so cruel that these parents or grandparents of these people involved are keeping so silent.”
