On Monday, members of the Patuanak detachment conducted a traffic stop on the La Plonge First Nation, resulting in the arrest of one individual.

As a result of the traffic stop the officers located six bottles of alcohol that were purchased and then transported for resale with the community of Patuanak. A small quantity of marijuana that was not purchased from a licensed retailer was also located within the vehicle.

One individual has been charged under the Alcohol Gaming Regulations Act as a result.

The vehicle was also seized pursuant to Section 154 under the Alcohol Gaming Regulations Act.

The same individual was charged with the purchase of cannabis from someone not authorized to sell.
