A second arrest has been made in connection to a shooting, which left a five-year-old boy with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

Matt Kurt Misponas is facing 15 charges related to his alleged participation in the shooting including unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal negligence with a firearm causing bodily harm, participation in a criminal organization, assault, unlawfully causing bodily harm and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Misponas was arrested Wednesday while he was already in custody for separate matters. He will next appear in court via video in La Ronge Provincial Court on June 21 at 9:30 a.m.

Last week, an 18-year-old man, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act because he was under the age of 18 at the time of the incident, was also arrested and charged.
