Grant McKenzie has been located according to a La Ronge RCMP media release.

Mounties located McKenzie in Sucker River today at 3:30 p.m. where he was arrested without incident.

McKenzie previously escaped from a non-secure correctional vehicle on June 21.

He is set to appear in court on July 3.

La Ronge RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating an inmate who escaped from a non-secure correctional facility vehicle on June 21.

Members of the La Ronge RCMP were informed that 30-year-old Grant Kenneth McKenzie had escaped from a non-secure correctional facility vehicle while travelling through La Ronge on June 21 at 3:45 p.m. McKenzie was last seen in the area of Brown St. and La Ronge Ave.

McKenzie is described as 5-feet-8 with short brown hair and brown eyes. He is of average build, weighs approximately 190 pounds and possesses numerous tattoos. Some of his tattoos include: a skull on the top of his head; the word “kaidence” on the right side of his neck, a cross on his upper left arm and a cannabis leaf on his right arm.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Grant Kenneth McKenzie is asked to contact the RCMP.
