Sixth suspect in January shooting case arrested

Lariviere was arrested yesterday, Aug. 5, in Saskatoon.

He is set to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court Aug. 8.

La Ronge RCMP are searching for a sixth suspect charged in the January 2019 shooting of a five-year-old boy at a house along Mikisiw Drive.

Police are looking for 29-year-old Riley Andrew Lariviere of Pinehouse Lake, who was charged by RCMP on July 24 for his participation in the shooting. According to RCMP, his current location is unknown and efforts by officers to locate him have been unsuccessful. La Ronge RCMP are seeking the public assistance in locating Lariviere.

Lariviere has been charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, discharge of a firearm with intent, criminal negligence with a firearm causing bodily harm, participation in a criminal organization, use of a firearm while committing the indictable offence of reckless discharge of a firearm, unlawfully causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and use of a firearm in a careless manner.

So far, five suspects have been arrested by La Ronge RCMP in relation to the incident.
