Four charged with first-degree murder in death of La Ronge woman

Charges have been laid in the homicide investigation of 28-year-old Sheena Marie Billette of La Ronge.

That’s according to an RCMP news release, which notes four individuals were charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and forcible confinement.

They are 25-year-old Charlie Napthalie Charles, 30-year-old Deborah Maggie Mckenzie, 24-year-old Telsa Jane Mckenzie and 24-year-old Sharise Justice Sutherland-Kayseas. Also facing charges of accessory after the fact to murder is 27-year-old Kandi Rose Ratt.

Debroah Mckenzie, Telsa Mckenzie and Sutherland-Kayseas were arrested Jan. 13 in La Ronge. Ratt and Charles are still at-large and RCMP consider them to be dangerous. If they are seen, do not approach them and call police immediately.

Saskatchewan RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Ratt and Charles. Anyone with information of the whereabouts of Ratt and Charles, is urged to contact La Ronge RCMP by calling 306- 4250-6730. Billette’s body was found Dec. 23 about seven kilometers north of La Ronge on Highway 102. Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit South, La Ronge and Prince Albert General Investigation Sections, the Prince Albert and Tisdale Forensic Identification Sections, Prince Albert Police Service and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service have all been involved in the investigation.
