La Ronge RCMP arrest five, seize sawed off shotgun

La Ronge RCMP have arrested five individuals after locating and seizing a sawed-off shotgun.
That’s according to an RCMP media release, which states officers responded to a complaint of a loud gathering Feb. 25 in La Ronge shortly after midnight. Once on the scene, witnesses reported an assault on a male inside the home.
Police noted a suspect vehicle description was provided, and officers quickly located it and activated their emergency equipment. The vehicle fled, stopped at another residence in La Ronge and multiple people exited the vehicle. RCMP mentioned four people were arrested outside and one person was arrested inside the residence.
Officers also located and seized a sawed-off shotgun. The investigation is ongoing at this time and no charges have been laid.
