More tri-community services and events cancelled including U of S vet clinic
More events and services are being cancelled in the tri-communities due to COVID-19.
Earlier today, the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan announced it has cancelled the three-day remote clinic scheduled for May 1 to 3. In a Facebook post, officials mentioned it was a difficult decision, but protecting the health and well-being of community members and staff is essential. The next clinic is scheduled for June 12 to 14 if public activities can resume safely by then.
Planning has ended to bring the RCMP Music Ride to town. That’s according to local committee member and La Ronge Coun. Glen Watchel who announced the change in plans at Wednesday’s regular town council meeting. Organizers had until the end of the month to confirm for the event, which would have been held June 2.
Effective March 19, the Lac La Ronge Regional Waste Management Corporation’s Recycling Depot is no longer open to the public, according to Manager Betty Hutchinson.
