RCMP seeking information following homicide on LLRIB reserve

La Ronge RCMP is seeking information following the homicide of a 29-year-old male.

According to a media release, on June 3 at approximately 3:50 a.m., La Ronge RCMP were called to a residence following the report of a disturbance on Elders Road in Bell’s Point. Upon arrival, police and EMS located 29-year-old Muhammad Venne outside of the residence suffering from life-threatening injuries. Venne was transported to hospital by ambulance, but he was pronounced deceased shortly after his arrival.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit North, Prince Albert RCMP, the North Battleford RCMP General Investigation Section and the Prince Albert RCMP Forensic Identification Section are all assisting with the investigation. A forensic autopsy is scheduled to take place on June 5 in Saskatoon.
