Man shot multiple times while walking along Far Reserve Road
A 20-year-old man was transported to Saskatoon after being fired upon while walking alone along Far Reserve Road.
That’s according to an RCMP media release, which states on Sept. 30 at approximately 3:15 a.m., the La Ronge detachment received a report of a firearm that caused injuries to an individual at an apartment complex located on Nunn Street. Upon arrival, officers located the man who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The initial investigation revealed the victim was walking alone on Far Reserve Road around midnight when an older model grey truck pulled up beside him and opened fire. RCMP noted it is unknown how many occupants were in the vehicle.
The victim was transported by air ambulance to Saskatoon with non-life threatening injuries. At this time, officers believe this was an isolated incident and the investigation remains ongoing.
