Churchill and Pre-Cam operating at level two, Gordon Denny to follow suit next week

La Ronge schools are back to level two learning this week.

As of Feb. 1, Churchill Community High School and Pre-Cam Community School have both resumed full in-class learning with mask usage for students and staff. When classes resumed in January, both schools were operating at level three with reduced in-class learning.

Air Ronge’s Gordon Denny Community School, which is currently at level three, is expected to move to level two on Feb. 8.

“We are hoping for a smooth and safe transition back into a more normal daily routine for our students,” administration wrote on Gordon Denny’s Facebook page. “Be sure to contact the school with any questions or concerns, so we can help you to feel comfortable with the changes.”

Plans for all three schools will evolve as required by emerging health risk assessments. The school division will provide more information to the public as it becomes available.

“We are asking everyone to be extra vigilant,” a letter to community members states. “Protect yourself and your family at all times during the pandemic by following all public health recommendations and ensuring you do your part to stop the spread.”
