Boil water order in place for Stanley Mission
A boil water order is in place for Stanley Mission between May 4 and May 16.
That’s according to a notice to residents from the Stanley Mission band office. It states the shut down of the existing distribution system is required to complete new piping and pump installation at the water treatment plant. There will be three separate days when the water system will be completely shut down and will not be available to residents.
There will be no water supply May 4 between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., May 6 between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., and May 11 between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. If an alternate time frame is required, the schedule may be shifted slightly.
According to an advisory from Prince Albert Grand Council, all water meant for drinking should be boiled for at least one minute and stored in a sanitized container. Water should be boiled for brushing or soaking false teeth, washing fruit and vegetables, ice cubes or when added to food and drinks.
