Southend man facing firearm and trafficking charges
A Southend man is facing more than a dozen charges after police were called to a local residence Friday.
According to an RCMP media release, on Friday at approximately 9:55 p.m., the Southend detachment received a complaint that a male discharged a firearm inside a residence on Olsen Street in Southend. The bullet hit an exterior wall of the residence and no one was injured.
RCMP noted a search of the residence resulted in officers seizing three modified firearms, 19 grams of psilocybin mushrooms split into packages, and cash.
As a result of the investigation, Tarrant Nordin, 22, of Southend, has been charged with assault with a weapon, trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking, use of a firearm in commission of an offence, three counts of unsafe storage of a firearm, carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unlicensed possession of a firearm, unlicensed possession of a prohibited firearm, unlicensed possession of a prohibited firearm with readily accessible ammunition, two counts of manufacture a prohibited firearm, and unlawfully removal of a serial number on a firearm.
