Riders release training camp roster

The Saskatchewan Roughriders released its training camp roster Saturday.

As well, the team has made several roster moves including signing offensive lineman Carter Comeau as an undrafted free agent.

The 25 year old from Manitoba spent two seasons with the Calgary Dinos, helping the University of Calgary win the Vanier Cup in 2019.

The team announced it has released the following players:

  • American wide receiver DeMarcus Ayers
  • American defensive lineman Chris Livings
  • American defensive back Zach Sanchez
  • American running back Xavier Turner

And has suspended the following:

  • National defensive back Elie Bouka
  • American wide receiver Sam Coates
  • American offensive lineman Takoby Cofield
  • American quarterback Luke Falk
  • American defensive lineman Demetrius Harris
  • American wide receiver Tevin Jones
  • National offensive lineman Brendon LaBatte
  • American running back Jeremy Langford
  • American defensive back Tony Lippett
  • American defensive back L.J. McCray

LaBatte previously announced he does not plan to play this season due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Training camp begins July 10 at Mosaic Stadium. It will not be open to the public.
