Province reports 360 active cases across Saskatchewan

There were 20 new cases of COVID-19 and 56 new recoveries reported in Saskatchewan on Monday. This brings the provincial total to 48,978 cases; 48,050 total recoveries and 360 cases considered active.

Another 49 new cases and 33 recoveries were also reported on Saturday, July 3, and 27 new cases and 52 recoveries were reported yesterday.

No new deaths have been reported since June 29.

The new cases in Northern Saskatchewan are located in the following zones: Far North West, one; Far North East, three; North Central, one; and North East, three. Two cases are pending residence information.

NITHA Data

As of July 4, there are 105 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities.

These cases are located in the Far North Central (Athabasca), six; Far North West, 24; Far North East, 75. There are 27 active cases of COVID-19 Variants of Concern (VOCs) in NITHA communities. These cases are located in the Far North Central; three, Far North West, 12; and Far North East, 12. There have been 3,679 cases (97 per cent) that have recovered, and seven people are hospitalized.

Vaccine Report

Over 30,000 more vaccines delivered over the last three days bring the provincial total of vaccines administered in the province to 1,225,186.

Over the weekend, another 8,392 doses were also recorded on Saturday and 13,445 on Sunday.

On July 5, an additional 8,814 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported were administered to residents living in the following zones: Far North West, 16; Far North Central, one; Far North East, 52; North West, 466; North Central, 370; North East, 77; Saskatoon, 3,193; Central West, 64; Central East, 219; Regina, 3,107; South West, 73; South Central, 615; and South East, 304. There were 257 doses administered with zone of residence pending.

Seventy-one per cent of those 12+ have received their first dose and 48 per cent of those 12+ are fully vaccinated.
