COVID vaccine fraud happening in Saskatchewan
Instead of someone paying for another person to write an exam for them at school, Saskatchewan officials say people are hiring others to get their COVID-19 vaccination.
Saskatchewan Health Authority CEO Scott Livingstone and Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency president Marlo Pritchard confirmed during a Tuesday technical briefing about the state of COVID-19 in the province that they’re aware some people in the province have paid others to get vaccinated under the first person’s name.
Livingstone said there have been “some instances across the province where individuals are coming forward claiming that they are vaccinating individuals for COVID-19 and these are fraudulent claims.”
In such cases, individuals would provide their health card to another individual to take with them to receive a vaccination.
