Black Lake man charged with second degree murder

Police are investigating a suspicious death in Black Lake.
According to a media release, on Dec. 16 Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit officers arrested a male in relation to this investigation. The victim is identified as Arley Cook of Black Lake First Nation.
Police note his death is considered a homicide and Jerrick Stalthanee, 21, of Black Lake First Nation has been charged with one count of second degree murder.
His next court date is via video on Jan. 17, 2022 in La Ronge Provincial Court.
