La Loche RCMP arrest man suspected of child porn offences

The La Loche RCMP have arrested a man suspected of child pornography offences.

On Tuesday, the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) made the arrest after an investigation revealed 19-year-old Deondre Piche was allegedly involved in the possession and publishing of the explicit content through a popular social media app.

This comes after the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a La Loche residence on Jan. 13 after the location was identified as the site where the offences occured.

Several electronic devices were seized at the time for further forensic analysis. The investigation is still ongoing.

Piche faces two charges, possession of child pornography and making child pornography available. He was released from La Loche Provincial Court under several conditions.
