COVID-19 hospitalizations rise to 252, have nearly doubled in past 10 days
Hospitalizations in Saskatchewan exceeded the 250-mark in Sunday’s update from the Government of Saskatchewan. They are now at 252, an increase of eight from Saturday’s report. Hospitalizations in the province have nearly doubled in the last 10 days, as there were 123 people receiving treatment in hospitals on Jan. 13.
There are 26 patients receiving intensive care in the province, including two in the North Central.
The province also recorded its second straight record for new COVID-19 cases in a single day, as 1,629 were announced on Sunday. That’s 146 more from the previous record of 1,483 reported on Saturday.
Of the new reported cases, 122 are in the North Central, 62 in the North West, 36 in the North East, 22 are in the Far North East, 19 in the Far North West and four in Far North Central.
