SaskTel working to restore services after cable damaged in Air Ronge
It’s been more than 24 hours since some residents in Air Ronge and La Ronge have been without Internet, home phone or television services.
According to an email from a Government of Saskatchewan spokesperson, on Monday a Ministry of Highways snowplow bucket made contact with aerial cabling in Air Ronge which caused significant damage.
SaskTel crews began working to restore services yesterday evening, but the repair took longer than usual due to weather delays. Crews are currently on site working to restore services and expect to have services back to normal by the end of the day.
The email notes any safety incident or near-miss is subject to an internal investigation by the Ministry of Highways safety branch.
