Beauval residents wanted for assault, arson and weapon charges

UPDATE: The RCMP have reported on April 29, they arrested Jelena Lafleur-Laliberte and Braydon Durocher in Beauval. On May 1, 2022, RCMP arrested Vincent Roy in Beauval. All three will appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court via on May 2, 2022.

Police are searching for four people, including one youth, who have been charged with several serious criminal offences.

An RCMP media release states on April 25 at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers in Beauval received a report of a disturbance and suspicious fire at a local residence.

An investigation determined several individuals approached vehicles parked outside the residence, smashed windows, and caused damage with firearm discharge and by fire. There was a person inside one of the vehicles at the time of the incident who was unharmed.

Occupants of the residence approached the individuals and they were allegedly sprayed with bear mace.

As a result of investigation, Braydon Durocher, 24, Jelena Lafleur-Laliberte, 20, and Vincent Roy, 25, all of Beauval, and two male teens who cannot be charged due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), have each been charged with two counts of assault with weapon, and one count of arson, disregard for human life, uttering threats, mischief and several weapons charges.

One male teen was arrested and will appear in court in Beauval on May 18 at 10 a.m. Warrants have been issued for the others’ arrests and RCMP are actively working to locate and arrest them.

Braydon Durocher is described as approximately 5’8” and 135 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Jelena Lafleur-Laliberte is described as approximately 5’6”. She has medium-length brown hair and brown eyes. She often wears a nose ring. The RCMP did not provide a photo.

Vincent Roy is described as approximately 6’1” and 210 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

RCMP cannot provide identifying details of the male teen wanted on warrant as per the YCJA.
