SJHL hands four-game suspension to Ice Wolves defenceman
A player with the La Ronge Ice Wolves has been suspended following a major penalty during a game earlier this week.
Kaycee Coyle has been suspended four games for a major boarding penalty in the Oct. 12 game against the Yorkton Terriers. Yorkton won the game 2-1.
This isn’t the first time, the Ice Wolves faced disciplinary action by the SJHL. Early in the season, head coach Kevin Kaminski was given a 10-game suspension for what the league said was unprofessional conduct during a playoff game on March 31 against the Humboldt Broncos.
More recently, on Sept. 27, Daniel Thiessen was suspended three games for a staged fight with Broncos player Connor Casprie and Connor Abric was given a two-game suspension for a boarding call.
