La Ronge RCMP seize 222 grams of cocaine in addition to MDMA, magic mushrooms

Two men have been charged with a number of offences stemming from the execution of a recent search warrant.

According to a media release issued Monday, La Ronge RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on Riese Drive and located and seized approximately 2.6 kilograms of suspected MDMA, 222 grams of cocaine, five grams of psilocybin, 275 grams of dried cannabis, 27 cartons of contraband cigarettes, two firearms with ammunition, several knives, a sum of cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Alex Spence, 26, of Air Ronge, is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, unsafe storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He will appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on Nov. 28.

David Inglis, 50, of La Ronge is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and unsafe storage of a firearm.

He will appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on Jan. 30, 2023.
