La Ronge canoers paddling hard in Canada’s longest canoe race

Two members of the La Ronge Pimiskatan Canoe Club continue to paddle up the river in Canada’s longest canoe race.
Ragnar Robinson and Scott Fraser embarked on the Yukon River Quest on Tuesday, a 715-kilometre race from Whitehorse to Dawson City.
The canoe they are paddling was built by Martin Bernardin of La Ronge’s Kisseynew Canoe Company.
As of Thursday morning, Robinson and Fraser, who are competing under the name “Free Animal” 4th overall and third in the tandem canoe category.
