NLSD no longer in-dispute with STF, members can now apply for and accept positions
The Northern Lights School Division (NLSD) is no longer in dispute with the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation (STF) effective July 24.
That’s according to a news release issued on Monday, which states discussions and negotiations between the STF and NLSD Director of Education Jason Young have resulted in a satisfactory resolution. Now that the issue has been resolved, there are no restrictions on members applying for or accepting a position with the division.
This was the first time since 2002 and the 15th time since 1961 that the STF has placed a division in dispute.
“We are pleased we have been able to come to an agreement and resolve this issue,” said STF President Samantha Becotte.
