Pinehouse man wins $250K on LOTTO MAX ticket

Alex Ross was sure it was a joke when he scanned his LOTTO MAX ticket on the Lotto Spot! app and saw he won $250,000 on the Dec. 22, 2023 EXTRA draw.

“I had to scan it a couple times just to make sure,” he said with a laugh. “I stayed pretty calm when I realized, but my wife was overwhelmed.”

The Pinehouse Lake winner said he is excited to be debt free thanks to his windfall and plans to take a trip with his family.

“My wife and I love the outdoors,” he explained. “But we’re always stuck in the office. This lets us breathe a bit and take a day or two off.”

“I’m very grateful for this,” Ross added.

Ross noted part of what makes him feel good about the win is knowing how Sask Lotteries supports local sport, culture and recreation groups.

“I just want to say thank you to Sask Lotteries for the work they do.”

Ross purchased his winning ticket for $21 at Pinehouse Lake Co-op Grocery.
