Extreme cold warnings continue across much of Sask.

Extreme cold warnings remained in effect for large portions of Saskatchewan on Wednesday morning, but conditions are expected to improve as the day progresses.
The warnings from Environment Canada covered the central and northern parts of the province, including Saskatoon, Lloydminster, Melfort, Nipawin, Prince Albert, Tisdale, Warman and Yorkton.
According to the weather service, overnight lows in the -35 C range combined with winds of around 15 km/h will bring wind chill values of around -40 C during the morning.
“Cover up,” the weather service advised. “Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.”
