Air Ronge residents affected by water line break repair

Apr 2, 2024 | 3:40 PM

Repair work on a water line break is expected to begin April 3.

That’s according to a notice issued Tuesday by the Northern Village of Air Ronge, which states contractors will be doing the work. During the repairs, some residents may have their water services shut off.

Those residents include those at 113 to 125 Norseman Street East, 222 to 240 Anson Street and 223 to 233 Beaver Street. The notice states every effort will be made to limit the number of affected households and to limit the time that they are affected.

In an abundance of caution, residents are asked to plan to be without water for a period of up to one day during this time. As per the Water Security Agency. After the water break is repaired and the water is turned back on, a precautionary drinking water advisory will be issued.

Notices will be posted on every door of the affected properties and will also be posted on the village website and Facebook page.

When all water samples come back clear, another notice will be issued advising that the precautionary drinking water advisory has been rescinded. The Northern Village of Air Ronge will provide updates on the repair and the water advisory as they become available.
