Woman dies in La Ronge homicide

A 52-year-old woman is dead after an incident on the Far Reserve Road in La Ronge on Easter Sunday.

RCMP were told of the injured woman, identified as Sharon Brown, at 12:15 a.m.

Officers responded to the home and found the injured woman who was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.

Her family has been notified and victim services has been made available to them.

The death was suspicious and Saskatchewan Major Crimes took over the investigation.

A 33-year-old man, Brad Ratt of La Ronge has been charged with one count of second-degree murder and was remanded into custody. He will make his next appearance in La Ronge on April 4.
