Sask. hospitality industry gets boost to find workers
In an effort to solve labour shortages in the hospitality, the provincial government has given Hospitality Saskatchewan $400,000 to look for workers.
The money is supposed to help the association create solutions tailored to their needs, including recruiting more Indigenous people to work in the industry.
“This is terrific news and will better position our industry to address the labour shortages faced by our membership,” Hospitality Saskatchewan President and CEO Jim Bence said. “We are very pleased with this investment in our industry by the government and we much appreciate their continued support.”
The group has created what it calls on its website “an aggressive recruitment strategy” called Belong Saskatchewan.
