RBC Foundation gifts $7,500 to assist in training La Ronge nurses
The RBC Foundation is giving $7,500 to the La Ronge Health Centre to provide a Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) for local health care providers.
“The support of RBC is important for our nurses so that they can provide the best quality care for our patients and improve health outcomes,” said Remi Bankole, the Director Acute Care at the hospital in a new released issued Wednesday.
“Handling trauma is something we do regularly in La Ronge and the far northeast of Saskatchewan. After completing this course our nursing staff will be equipped with the knowledge to provide immediate, lifesaving, and stabilized care to all of our traumatic patients. Our nurses will also benefit from an overall confidence increase in trauma patient care.”
The funding is part of the RBC Foundation’s overall $6 million commitment in 2024 for reskilling, upskilling and improving the resiliency of nurses and healthcare workers at hospitals across the country.
