Heavy damage to La Ronge house due to fire

A house along La Ronge’s Fitch Drive sustained heavy damage due to a fire this week.
That’s according to deputy- fire chief Jay Wood, who explained firefighters were dispatched to the scene Wednesday at 6:34 p.m. He noted firefighters were on the scene for two and a half hours.
While there was heavy damage to the roof of the structure, Wood added he is unsure if it would be classified as a total loss as it is up to the insurance company to decide.
Occupants of the house got out of the structure before firefighters arrived, and there were no reported injuries. The fire department has concluded their investigation and deemed the fire to be accidental.
