Cocaine and cash seized, during trafficking bust in La Ronge

Over 200 grams of cocaine and materials associated with drug trafficking were seized by police, following a recent bust in the La Ronge area.

On Friday, Saskatchewan RCMP’s La Ronge Crime Reduction Team was conducting proactive patrols and during a traffic stop, observed open alcohol inside the vehicle.

During subsequent investigation, officers located and seized approximately five grams of cocaine and trafficking material from the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested.

Officers then obtained and executed a search warrant at a residence in La Ronge later that day. Officers located and seized approximately 225 grams of cocaine, two magazines, ammunition, a large sum of cash and trafficking paraphernalia.

The occupants of the residence were also arrested.

All the accused are from the area and face various charges related to drug trafficking and weapons possession. They were scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
