UPDATE: Services restored to La Ronge internet, phone, cell services

UPDATE: Shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday, SaskTel reported that all services had been restored in La Ronge, Weyakwin, Brabant Lake, Cigar Lake, Collins Bay, English Bay, Far Indian Reserve, Grandmother’s Bay, Hall Lake, McClean Lake, Molanosa, Montreal Lake, Missinipe, Pinehouse, Ramsey Bay, Stanley Mission, Sucker River, Thunder Hills, Wadin Bay, and surrounding areas.

Residents and businesses in and around La Ronge and Weyakwin are experiencing an internet, wireless and landline outage, Sasktel said this afternoon.

Customers in Brabant Lake, Cigar Lake, Collins Bay, English Bay, Far Indian Reserve, Grandmother’s Bay, Hall Lake, McClean Lake, Molanosa, Montreal Lake, Missinipe, Pinehouse, Ramsey Bay, Stanley Mission, Sucker River, Thunder Hills, Wadin Bay, and surrounding areas may also be experiencing disruptions with their services.

Crews are working to restore services as quickly as possible but, as of 1 pm, there was no estimated time for repairs to be completed.

In the event of an emergency residents will need to physically contact their nearest emergency services. Updates will be provided when additional information becomes available.
