Bell receives four nominations for 2024 Sask. Indigenous Music Awards

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Nigel Bell, who performs under the stage name Nige B, has been nominated for four Saskatchewan Indigenous Music Awards.

Bell has been nominated for Rap/Hip hop/Electronic Artist or Group of the Year, Instrumentalist of the Year, Emerging Artist of the Year, and for the Fan’s Choice Award.

In 2023, Bell claimed Instrumentalist of the Year and Rock/Heavy Metal/Rap Person of the Year. He won Instrumentalist of the Year for an EP called Chroma under the moniker Velcro Stories and Rock/Heavy Metal/Rap Person of the Year for the album U R What U R Vol. 1 as Nige B. Both albums were released last September.

The Saskatchewan Indigenous Music Association Awards ceremony will occur Oct. 12 at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre in Prince Albert.
