Premier Moe appoints new, smaller cabinet
In the recent provincial election, Premier Scott Moe said people re-elected the Sask Party to ensure a strong economy and a bright future, while others voted for change. On Thursday, he promised his new government will deliver both, as he announced a smaller cabinet, with a new minister appointed in every cabinet position.
“We will ensure Saskatchewan’s economy remains strong and growing, while addressing the challenges of a growing province like timely access to health care and improved learning opportunities for children in our schools,” said Moe in a press release.
Several current ministers are taking on new responsibilities including the MLA for The Battlefords, Jeremy Cockrill. He will transition from the Minister of Education to the Minister of Health.
