Temperature roller coaster expected across Saskatchewan
After a cold snap hit Saskatchewan over the weekend, Environment Canada is expecting a brief warm up this week before temperatures drop again this weekend and into next week.
Brad Vrolijk, lead forecaster with Environment Canada, said temperatures across much of the prairies are expected to climb to around 0 C, or even reach above freezing this week. But, he added, the warmer temperatures won’t stick around for too long.
“That’s going to kick off a substantial change in the weather pattern over most of North America,” he said.
“Arctic air is just going to flood southwards, and by the beginning of next week we might see sub-freezing temperatures all the way to the Gulf Coast.”
