Two arrested after cocaine seizure in La Loche

A man and a woman are in police custody following a search warrant in Northern Saskatchewan.
La Loche RCMP said officers executed two search warrants as part of a drug trafficking investigation on Feb. 20, one at a home in the community and the other at a rural residence not far from La Loche.
At either home, police located and seized around 99 grams of cocaine along with a sum of cash, and a man and a woman were arrested at the scenes.
As a result, 39-year-old Kelsey Janvier from La Loche and 32-year-old Katherine Bird from Prince Albert are both charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
