Three arrested, including two youth, after RCMP seize firearms, cash

La Ronge RCMP officers seized two sawed-off firearms, a large sum of cash and drug paraphernalia in a Stanley Mission home on Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation.

Three people were arrested including a 19 year old from British Columbia and two youth, aged 15 and 16. Each of them were charged with one count of possession of the proceeds of crime exceeding $5,000; two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon; two counts of unsafe storage of a firearm.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was also charged with one count of resist/obstruct peace officer. The 16-year old was also charged with two counts of fail to comply with condition.

RCMP said the investigation continues.
