Regina’s new breast health centre set to open, province commits to reduce wait times
REGINA – Regina’s new breast health centre is planning to open next week providing surgeries, diagnostics and followup care all under one roof that the health minister says will reduce wait times.
Jeremy Cockrill says the facility has capacity to do more screening and can take in about 1,600 referrals each year.
He also says health-care staff will work together to provide a streamlined experience for patients, who now only need to come to the one facility.
The Opposition NDP says it has concerns the Saskatchewan Party government is only moving staff from one building to another.
