Teen charged with murder in Grandmother’s Bay

A teen from Grandmother’s Bay has been charged with second degree murder.

A media release states on Aug. 2 at approximately 7:15 a.m., Stanley Mission RCMP received a report of a seriously injured man at a residence at the Lac La Ronge Indian Band community of Grandmother’s Bay.

Officers responded and located the man, who was later pronounced deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as 23-year-old Dillon Charles from Grandmother’s Bay.

The death was considered suspicious, and a male teenager was arrested at the scene. As a result of the investigation, he was charged with second-degree murder.
