RCMP investigating La Ronge stabbings

Police are investigating two cases of men being stabbed on Wednesday.

In an email to larongeNOW from Saskatchewan RCMP, it was stated on Nov. 5 at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers received a report of an assault with a weapon at a downtown business.

Police responded and located a man with injuries consistent with stab wounds. They provided first aid and EMS transported the victim to the local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

A second man arrived at the business minutes later with similar injuries. He was transported to hospital in Saskatoon with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The investigation has so far determined an altercation took place inside the business between the first victim and a male suspect. RCMP have yet to determine if both incidents are connected.

Police are working to identify and share more descriptors about the suspect with the public. At this time, investigators have not identified an increased risk to public safety.
