Prince Albert CRT charge male after firearm seized in La Loche

A 29-year-old resident of La Loche has been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, after police searched a home in the community on Feb. 4.
Officers had obtained the warrant as part of an ongoing investigation. Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team (CRT), with the assistance of the municipal police service’s CRT and the Saskatchewan RCMP’s CRT, seized ammunition and two firearms: one shotgun and one air gun.
Three adults were arrested at the scene.
As a result of the investigation, Kelsey Herman of La Loche was charged, but the two other adults were released from police custody.
