SHA clarifies data leaked to NDP about emergency room at Victoria Hospital
A screenshot of a Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) emergency department tracking dashboard captured Monday morning and leaked to the official opposition, suggests Prince Albert’s Victoria Hospital emergency department is overrun.
The image showed the department at 112 per cent capacity and short eight beds. The Sask NDP said it also showed waits for care were as long as 40 hours.
“Healthcare in Prince Albert and right across Saskatchewan is in worse shape than ever after 20 years of the Sask. Party. We know that while Scott Moe and his Ministers play political games, it’s patients that ultimately suffer,” said Keith Jorgenson, Associate Shadow Health Minister.
