New assistant coach, athletic therapist for Ice Wolves

Kyle Graham will be taking over duties as assistant coach for the La Ronge Ice Wolves.

“I am super excited for the opportunity the organization and Killer (head coach) have given me,” he said in an interview with larongeNOW.

“I have been in La Ronge three seasons now and I can’t get away. I love everyone there, the community is awesome, and I’m really excited to help some of the players out and really make a run at the playoffs this year.”

Graham played two seasons with the Ice Wolves, suiting up for 67 games and recording two goals, 15 assists, and 224 penalty minutes. During the 2024-2025 season, he served as the team’s athletic trainer and equipment manager.

Graham is currently in his hometown of Langley, B.C., but will be back in town Aug. 25 for the La Ronge Ice Wolves Hockey School. He’s taking over the role from Kyle Schneider, who was recently hired as the head coach for the Kindersley Klippers.

With the next regular season about six weeks away, Graham is looking forward to a new chapter for the Ice Wolves at the Jonas Roberts Memorial Community Centre.

“I think playing at the JR is going to be awesome,” he said.

“The facility they’ve got there with the gym and the new dressing room. I remember I played there a couple of years ago in the playoffs and it was so loud, the fans were rocking, and it’s going to be exciting.”

Ice Wolves Kevin Kaminski believes Graham will bring passion, knowledge, integrity and loyalty to the team’s defensive core.

“He’ll be a great mentor to these kids to develop both on ice, off ice and through video,” Kaminski said in a media release.

“He already is a great asset and now even more so than ever.”

The Ice Wolves have announced Walker Munson as the new athletic therapist and equipment manager.
