The La Ronge Ice Wolves have struck a deal in B.C.

On Wednesday, the club announced they’ve traded forwards Dawson Butler and Ryder McAslan to the Merritt Centennials of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) in exchange for forward Maxim Radmanovich and a player development fee.

Both Butler and McAslan were in their first season with the Ice Wolves, each collecting four points (2G-2A) in 12 appearances. McAslan racked up 19 penalty minutes, while Butler had six.

“We’d like to thank Dawson and Ryder for their time and contributions to the Ice Wolves organization and wish them all the best moving forward,” the team wrote in a social media post.

Meanwhile, Radmanovich comes to La Ronge with two goals and five assists in appearances with the Centennials this season. Last season in Merritt, he collected 24 points with seven goals and 17 assists.

The Ice Wolves are currently in second last place in the SJHL and only one point ahead of last place, and newcomers, the Warman Wolverines. In 16 games, La Ronge stands with a 4-9-2-1 (W-L-OTL-SOL).

The Ice Wolves will be on the road for the next two weeks with five away games leading up to their next home game on Nov. 28 against the Weyburn Red Wings.
