Ag Tech Innovation Ignites in Saskatoon as Thousands Gather for the 43rd Western Canadian Crop Production Show

Saskatoon became the centre of agricultural innovation this week as the 43rd annual Western Canadian Crop Production Show, presented by Farm Credit Canada, wrapped up another record-breaking year at the World Trade Center Saskatoon at Prairieland.

The premier event for prairie producers drew 16,114 attendees and showcased over 340 exhibitors across 240,000 square feet of completely sold out space, underscoring its longstanding reputation as the must attend kick off to the growing season.

“The sold-out status of the trade show is a testament to its significance in the industry, offering unparallelled opportunities for exhibitors and producers to engage in meaningful dialogue,” shared Leigh Ann Hulburt, Prairieland’s Agriculture Manager. “This event is not just about showcasing products; it provides a platform for the exchanges of cutting-edge ideas and innovations; it’s about fostering connections and facilitating the progress of our agricultural community.”

Excitement surged on opening day as the 3rd annual Innovation Award crowned its 2026 winner.

The show’s educational programming also drew strong crowds.

In the Nufarm Information Theatre, experts tackled some of the industry’s most pressing topics, from the ongoing battle with Kochia, to navigating the complexities of farm succession planning.

Additionally, attendees witnessed the announcement of the 2026 inductees into the Saskatchewan Agricultural Hall of Fame, celebrating leaders who shaped the province’s agricultural legacy.

With more than four decades of serving Western Canada’s agriculture industry, the Crop Production Show continues to be the first stop of the year for grain producers seeking tools, technology, and expert insight to boost yields and make confident decisions for the season ahead.

Exhibitors from across Canada once again delivered solutions designed to boost efficiency, improve yields, and support confident decision making.
