New dental clinic coming to La Ronge

A new dental clinic will open in La Ronge by the end of 2026. 

That’s according to Dr. Gary Houseman, who is constructing a more than 4,000-square-feet building downtown. The new clinic will complement two existing ones he already owns in Saskatoon. 

While Houseman will spend time practicing dentistry in the community once it opens, he expects he will need to hire an associate to assist him with operations.  

“I grew up there. We have a cabin out on an island there and it’s a good spot,” he explained. 

“[La Ronge is] in huge demand for some dental needs up there, so I thought it would be a good opportunity.”

In addition, there will be leasable space for other businesses. One space will be approximately 1,800-square-feet while the other will be about 1,600.  

“[La Ronge doesn’t] got a ton of new buildings there and there’s definitely a need for commercial space,” Houseman noted. 

“I’m excited to get up there and help everyone out and it should be good.”
