Two men in Air Ronge have come forward to run in an upcoming byelection.
Brent McDougall and Ron Ratte will have their names on the ballot for the April 22 byelection. McDougall is currently the bank manager at Conexus and previously served on La Ronge council, while Ratte works with the Indigenous Initiatives department at Northlands College.
Whomever is elected will join Mayor Julie Baschuk, as well as Deputy Mayor Terry Desroches and councillors James Hope Howard and Dave Smallwood.
The fifth council position was left vacant after Tabitha Burr resigned to become the village’s deputy-chief administrative officer/manager of legislative services.
